It's getting cold outside and I am being warmed in here by these orange canvases. I know some people love the purity of freshly primed canvases. I find them a bit unnerving and too precious. It's easy to convince yourself that anything you attempt would only spoil their perfection. So best not to think at all and cover them straightaway in a few coloured washes. Then exhale. Then start painting. Just for the fun of creating one intuitive shape after another..
